On my daily working PC the VirtualBox Manager was installed on the ISO download on Oracle website. I trust that this VirtualBox Manager was installed on repo. If you can, then it seems that you installed it from a repository, which escapes me how you did it. In order to verify that indeed is installed from repo, then you can open synaptic, search for virtualbox and check if there is an option to update it (which I doubt). Your version is one of the latest ones of virtualbox. To fix this problem, either install the 'Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack' or disable USB 3.0 support in the VM settings (VERR_NOT_FOUND).
